SAM
This supplement is also known by the chemical name S-Adenosyl-L-Methionine. It has been tested and has been researched for use in people who suffer with Alzheimers and Osteoarthritis.
Just recently, it has been advertised in the United States under the different name of SAM-e. Usually targetted for those many people who are suffering from depression.
Research has shown that SAM is as effective as the prescription type tricyclic antidepressants when it comes to relieving and alleviating the symptoms of depression.
Although it is recommended that it must be taken in high doses to have a positive affect on the symptoms of depression, many people find that they get good results with a smaller amount of 400mg.
SAM is quite fast working and most people who start to use it will usually notice a difference in mood on the first day. They also tend to feel more alert in the mind and a lot more motivated.
The downside is that SAM is usually more expensive when compared to other supplements. It is because of cost aspect that many people I do not continue using it try to keep the dose low to save money.
SAM is a naturally occurring subsatnce in the body and it has many benefits for liver health as well as general well being.
Although a little more expensive, SAM is another option for treating depression and acts as a good alternative for people who are worried about any drug interactions.
